Are you a fit CEO?

CEO Challenges launches new C-level executive fitness test

In these tough economic times, CEOs and other top executives may find winning in the standard way -- by generating large profits -- may be much more difficult than usual. But that doesn't mean CEOs can't win. CEO Challenges, which is based in Boulder, Colo., and produces sports competitions open to C-level executives, has introduced a new event: fitness competitions.

These fitness tests will be available in four major cities:  Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and Denver. The test is short (about 15 minutes), but it's strenuous. C-level executives must complete five exercises:

  • Endurance: number of step ups in three minute
  • Core Strength: number of crunches in two minutes
  • Upper body strength: number of push-ups in one minute
  • Speed and agility: number of laterals in 30 seconds
  • Leg strength: vertical jumps

The competition begins in February and runs through Mar. 31. CEOs and other C-level executivs of companies with more than $1 million in revenue can register for free by visiting www.ceochallenges.com/calendar. You must pre-register to take part in the competition.

The fitness test will be administered at select Equinox fitness clubs in Los Angeles, Chicago
and New York City; at the Colorado Athletic Club and The International Center for
Performance & Health in Denver, and at RallySport in Boulder.
