Men's 60-69 Nominees

Robert Owen * Basketball * Gary, Ind.

At the 2007 Huntsman World Senior Games, Owen won the gold medal in the men's 60-4 hot shot competition. He took the silver medal in the free throw and 3-point shooting contest. Known as the "Bullseye Guy," Own is a shooting instructor who has worked in camps with NBA stars such as Kevin Garnett and Glenn Robinson.

Gailen Smith * Snowboarding * Aspen, Colo.

Smith has been carving up the competition in 2008 with five first-place finishes in four events at Snowmass, Colo. He ranks first nationally, according to the USA Snowboard Association, in two out of five disciplines and is close to the top in the other three. He was preparing to defend his national titles in the halfpipe and slopestyle in April.ingles, going 7-2 and finishing in second place.

Jerry Conner * Richmond, Va. * Softball

Conner, 67, is an outfielder for Thomas Engineering Major Plus softball team, which is based in Virginia. He has long been one of the leading homerun hitters for the team, helping the squad to dozens of tournament championships over the past 15 years. Off the field, Conner is a major in the Virginia State Police.

Brian Cheney * Tennis * Chandler, Ariz.

Chaney boasts a 27-2 overall record in singles matches, and 10-1 record in U.S. Tennis Association tournament doubles matches. He won the Campbell's Soup National Hard Court Championships in April, and ranks No. 1 in points for his age group.
