Foster, who was nursing a groin injury, won the triple jump at the 2006 World Masters Athletics indoor championships, which were held in March in Linz, Austria. A former All-American at the University of Virgina in the 1,500 meters, Hinton, 44, won the Masters Mile at the Drake Relays in 4:23.85. It was his second straight win in the race and third in the last four years. He also won the mile at the USA Track and Field National Indoor Championships in March with a time of 4:16.23 in the M40 bracket.
